ABOUTME
Vanina is a National Geographic Explorer and filmmaker who is passionate about making media for impact. With a background in Biology and a MFA in Film and Electronic Media, she has produced documentaries and social media campaigns for National Geographic, Maryland Public Television, and local NGOs around the world. Her latest virtual reality experience, Grandpa's Reef, is using the power of immersive media to inspire the next generation of ocean advocates. Part of an interactive workshop around ocean conservation and plastic pollution, it is currently touring middle and high schools in the Philippines.​ Originally from Mauritius, she is currently based in Los Angeles and is part of the digital team at Patagonia.
